I am six months sober. My old friends that I use to party with don’t ask me to hangout anymore. I had a dream that I told all of them to their faces at the same time that they are not quality people and that they never reached out to make plans and that they never treated me well. i felt guilty in the dream, but I had to say my piece to them.
Congratulations on your six months of sobriety! Your dream seems to represent a desire to confront your old friends about the way they treated you during your drinking days. It may be a reflection of the frustration or unresolved emotions you have towards them for not being supportive or reaching out to you during your journey of sobriety. The guilt you felt in the dream suggests that you may be feeling conflicted about speaking up and ending those friendships. However, it’s important to remember that your sobriety is a priority and healthy relationships that support your recovery are essential. The dream may be a sign that it’s time to let go of toxic and unsupportive friendships and seek out relationships that encourage and respect your sobriety.
